Don't Be Alarmed

In my findings about the AIA and Ethics, recently they have produced several initiatives to promote sustainable architecture. I have decided to take my research in a slightly different direction and recommend that the AIA create it's own credentials for "green" design. Hope you enjoy reading it later today.

Matt,
I won't be alarmed. I think this project has made us all learn to evaluate all the information we are gathering and if it leads us somewhere different from our start point, so be it. At least we are gaining the knowledge.

Matt,

Are you working at the office any? lol. You have really been blogging a lot on Theory and Studio, go man. I agree with Jaclyn, we seem to be moving our original target around, but I think that is what will make the final papers great. The research is proving out that we are learning more about the topics we are passionate about.

One question about your last blog where you note you are going to “recommend that the AIA create its own credentials for green design”. Do you mean to start something that would compete with LEED? The military use to have SPiRiT, but are currently phasing it out and adopting LEED. I think it would be interesting not to compete, but compliment LEED with more of a “design” direction.

Just some thoughts, keep up the great work…
